Hi everyone! My name is Janice and I live in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

Derek appeared on my path via cosmic coincidence in 2023, when I was going through a sleep crisis and didn’t even realize it. Derek’s kindness, integrity, and gentle laidback demeanour left quite an impression on me.  It planted seeds that helped bring me here to this group.

I used to think of sleep as a somewhat inconvenient necessity I didn’t have much patience or respect for. Now I see it as more like a patient friend trying to get my attention for a long time.

My life story has been characterized by profound extremes. I have done a lot of inner work in addressing issues rooted in childhood trauma. My journey through addiction recovery, mental health treatment modalities, psychotherapy, spirituality, and personal growth has brought me to a place of willingness to take a closer look at my relationship with sleep.

I come to this group with a deep longing to learn how to surrender to sleep and to experience true serenity.  Both seem foreign concepts to me.
